World War Two: Women in the Military

Lesson Overview

During World War Two, Utah women contributed to the war effort by joining the military to serve as nurses, pilots, trainers, code breakers, and more. This lesson introduces students to women’s contributions as part of four military groups (WASPs, WACs, WAVES, and the Army Nurse Corps), along with a codebreaking activity. Teachers may focus on one group or use the entire lesson.
